Trip Overview
We have created a Fes 4 days tour to the Merzouga Desert, which allows you to explore Moroccan culture and its environment. During the trip, you will feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel at home at all times. Our journey will begin in Fes and end in the heart of Marrakech. We will take you to many fascinating, breathtaking, and spiritual places that you won't want to miss. On the last night, we'll be spending it in the desert, under a Stary sky.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert+
After breakfast, we start our Fes 4 Days Tour to the Merzouga Desert. We drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane, known as the “Swiss town of Morocco,” and Azrou, where we stop to see the famous cedar forest and its playful Barbary monkeys. We continue towards Midelt, crossing the Ziz Valley, an oasis of date palms surrounded by impressive rock formations. We’ll stop to take pictures before arriving at Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where our camels will be waiting. You’ll enjoy a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset – one of the most magical experiences in Morocco. Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you’ll be greeted with mint tea, enjoy dinner, and listen to traditional Berber drum music under a sky full of stars. Overnight in luxury or standard tents
Day 2: MERZOUGA - Erg Chebbi - Khamlia+
"We will wake up early to climb the Great Dune and watch the sunrise at this beautiful place. Afterward, we will return to the camp for a delicious Moroccan breakfast. Then, we will head back to the village where we left our car and visit the nearby villages of Merzouga. Our next stop will be the village of Khamlia where we will listen to traditional Gnawa music. Later, we will have lunch with a typical Berber meal. Finally, we will return to our hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon with a picturesque view of the dunes."
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley+
In The morning, we will enjoy breakfast and then proceed with our trip Fes 4 days tour to the Dades Gorges. Our route will take us through Rissani, the first imperial city. Here, we will have the opportunity to visit the local market, which is renowned for its livestock trading. After exploring Rissani, we will continue our journey, passing through the famous Todra Gorges and the Dades Valley. Finally, we will reach our destination for the day and spend the night at a hotel.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech+
After breakfast, we head towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of the Roses and Skoura palm grove. Our next stop is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the filming location of movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We continue our drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Berber villages and valleys. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of your 4 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech.
