Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert+
After breakfast, we start our Fes 3 Days Tour to the Merzouga Desert. We drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane, known as the “Swiss town of Morocco,” and Azrou, where we stop to see the famous cedar forest and its playful Barbary monkeys. We continue towards Midelt, crossing the Ziz Valley, an oasis of date palms surrounded by impressive rock formations. We’ll stop to take pictures before arriving at Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where our camels will be waiting. You’ll enjoy a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset – one of the most magical experiences in Morocco. Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you’ll be greeted with mint tea, enjoy dinner, and listen to traditional Berber drum music under a sky full of stars. Overnight in luxury or standard tents
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley+
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable moment. After breakfast, we ride camels (or drive by 4x4) back to the village and continue our journey toward the Todra Gorges. Along the way, we pass through Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco, known for its traditional market where locals trade donkeys, goats, and spices. Then, we continue to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges, where you can walk between 300-meter-high canyon walls — a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Later, we drive to Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Dinner and overnight at a charming riad or hotel overlooking the Dades Gorges.
Day 3: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech+
After breakfast, we head towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of the Roses and Skoura palm grove. Our next stop is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the filming location of movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We continue our drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Berber villages and valleys. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of your 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech.
